The SummaCut S2 D140 is an advanced vinyl cutter which has been built to meet high production targets for companies producing items such as stickers, label printing, vehicle wrapping and wall & interior décor. It features all the advantages of Summa’s class leading S2 series platform but deploys a more cost effective drag cutting head making it a more affordable machine.

Reliable and accurate cutting

S2 D140 uses OPOS X technology (optical positioning) to achieve greater cutting accuracy. The cutting head uses a built in sensor to read registration marks on the media that is being cut. This mitigates media deformations and misalignments and avoids cutting errors so reprints and additional cutting is avoided saving man hours and expense. .

It is highly versatile and applies a cutting pressure of up to 400 grams and can be used on a range of materials and applications including holographic, reflective, or mirroring materials, and on the many different types of modern laminates.

• OptiCut  - simulates tangential cutting. Overtime there will be changes to the blade set caused by wear and tear, OptiCut compensates for this and makes sure the knife is orientated correctly so that cutting is always accurate during the blades' life span.
• OverCut - extends the vector at the beginning and at the end of a curve. This ensures the design is cut through completely. Without the OverCut function, the cut line may not be completely closed, causing difficulties when weeding.
• The cutting head has been engineered to include an automatic cut-off knife, which can be selected as an option to slice your media at the end of each job.
• Integrated media rollers and roll angles load your vinyl straight and keep your media on track, even when cutting at top speed.
• Ethernet Port for reliable and network connection

ENGINEERING Integrity

The S2 D140 has been designed with great attention to tracking as this is essential for accuracy. Using the newly patented MicroSprocke grit roller media is tightly controlled aiding precision cutting.

Milled from the best materials in a unique process assuring each roller has an exacting diameter, Summa then specially coat each roller to eliminate the risk of wear and oxidation which could degrade tracking over time.
