KIP 990 Multi-touch production colour print system

The Kip 990 is a toner based multi functional print, copy and scan system designed to operate in high volume environments. It produces produces high quality prints, posters, maps and construction drawings at tremendous speed and it’s scanning capability is class leading. Companies buying these printers will most commonly be large engineering and construction outfits as well as print shops.

Huge Speed Advances over INKJET

Print speed is typically 5 x faster than inkjet and productivity is class leading for A0 and A1 sized prints.

Quick switch Technology enables the Kip 990 to produce mixed print sets at maximum production speed. Roll switching delays are completely absent.

PRINT QUALITY

The 990 uses a CMYK dry toner system to produce accurate and vibrant images. Print resolution is 600 x 1800 dpi. The images are ideal for outdoor applications as they are highly durable being both water proof and light fast.

Scanner Performance

The KIP 990 incorporates the class leading KIP 2300 CCD scanner. With 600 dpi optical resolution, KIP’s patented Real Time Thresholding and self calibrating imaging cameras quality is exceptional and ideal for scanning demanding graphics such as posters photos. Image capture 5 ips to 12 ips in monochrome (dependant on dpi) and 2 to 6 ips in colour.

The scanner is versatile in that it can scan face up or face down and can also scan thick mounted originals.

PRODUCTIVITY

The printer has been engineered with productivity in mind to support high volume printing.

• It’s quick starting and can be ready to begin in less than 4 minutes from the power being turned on; from standby print is instant.
• With 4 media rolls and a capacity of 725m² the frequency of reloading is reduced.
• High Capacity 1500 gms toner tanks allows extended print runs between cartridge swaps.
• Roll loading is quick too thanks to an ergonomic roll cap system that simplifies the loading of rolls into the cavernous media draws.
• Single pass black  – Increases speed and lowers running costs. With just 1 pass less toner is used and prints are produced quicker.
• Comes with a 12” touch screen to allow operators to have effortless control of the printer.
• Professional edge alignment stacking reduces post printing input.
• KIP ImagePro Print Management suite software is included. Benefits include fast control of the machines functions, quick access to the tool bar, high definition viewer and image clean up.  Also allows nesting / 2 up panelling and colour management – ideal for production printing and reproducing prints as the colour on reprints is guaranteed to match the original.
